APEB's Executive Director sits down with KQED to talk about Monkeypox

Over the weekend, the World Health Organization declared monkeypox a global health emergency. Cases are continuing to climb here in the Bay and across California. Public health experts say while anyone can get infected with monkeypox, most cases have been confirmed among men who have sex with men—echoing the public health challenges related to HIV. KQED's Brian Watt talks about this with George Mizhari Jackson, executive director of the AIDS Project East Bay, a nonprofit focused on HIV prevention and treatment among people of color.
